Registering on Scopus is simple. In this article, we will discuss the whole process of setting up a Scopus personal account.
How to Access Scopus
You can access Scopus in two ways:
- Directly go to scopus.com by typing the URL in the tab.
- Access an official Elsevier website, go to Solutions on the main page, and choose Scopus from the drop-down menu. After that, click “Sign in,” and you will be transferred to an official Scopus website.
There, you will find an option to fill in your Scopus login info or register a new account.
Why Should I Register a Personal Account in Scopus?
You need to create a Scopus account in order to save search strategies, create alerts and RSS feeds, save citations and searches, enable direct export to RefWorks and Mendeley, and organize lists of favorite documents.
How to Sign Up on Scopus
After reaching the registration form on Scopus, you are to complete a form by providing your:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
Then read the Registration User Agreement, check off that you agree to the terms, and click “Register.” You register in Scopus if you are then transferred to the window labeled “Registration Successful.”
Enter your Scopus login username and password to access your account.
An important point
You can register for Scopus Preview, but you won't be able to fully use your account. Registration of an account with full access is possible only by e-mail on the domain of the organization that bought the paid subscription.
