ABSTRACT

This article contains recommendations for conducting classes using information and communication technologies in order to develop cognitive skills of college students.

Keywords: information and communication technologies, classes, college, specialist training.

Education is the most strategically important sphere for the state development; that is why it is always being improved in order to meet the requirements for up-to-date qualified specialists who can promptly and adequately respond to the events.

The mastery of new information and communication technologies by students requires teachers to make appropriate changes in the learning process, the learning process involves reconsidering traditional methods, technologies and teaching aids, and sometimes creating new learning models.

The main goal of modern education is to ensure good quality by maintaining its functionality and compliance with the current and future needs of the individual, society and the state. Today, the learning process should not only develop professional and general competencies, but also awaken a desire for self-education and realization of one's abilities. College graduates should be mobile, competitive, and able to find themselves professionally in a constantly changing external environment.

The task of today's teacher is to prepare students for the transition to information society, and to develop ICT competence in each of them. Information and communication technologies today are a necessary tool for the implementation of this competence and an essential tool for its formation. Computer technologies are designed to become an integral part of a holistic educational process, significantly increasing its efficiency.

Today, it is necessary for every teacher to be able to prepare and conduct a lesson using ICT. Such a lesson is visual, colourful, informative, interactive and saves both teacher and student time. It allows the student to work at his own pace, while the teacher can quickly check and evaluate the results of the training. The accumulated experience has shown the need for some rethinking of the methodological system of teaching. The existing methodology is oriented towards maximising knowledge acquisition in all disciplines.

A large proportion of students are constantly in the uncomfortable position of failing to cope with learning, which leads to a number of negative consequences: loss of interest in learning and study work, falling grades, etc. I am very concerned about the analysis of learning outcomes. In general, the education system in educational institutions still does not meet modern requirements. Therefore, I consider my main task to be finding effective ways to improve the methodological system of education. In my pedagogical work, I pay much attention to general problems: improving the quality of knowledge, activity, student interest in the subject and creative independence in the classroom. The set tasks are really achievable, as modern conditions allow students to approach the study of the discipline with interest. Introduction of new information technologies into the educational process allows intensifying the learning process, realizing the ideas of developmental education, increasing the tempo of the lesson and increasing the volume of independent work of students. The peculiarities of computer learning are step-by-step organisation of the learning process, availability of on-line feedback, on the basis of which individualisation and differentiation of learning are carried out, uninterrupted control over students' activities at every stage is provided. The students demonstrate creative activity while composing and writing essays and reports and carrying out projects. This form of work assumes independent study of additional literature, develops cognitive interest.

Students apply technologies, use educational platforms Bilim Land, Smart Nation, which allow organizing project activities of students; educational resources of the Internet; electronic educational resources (EERs), which expand the possibilities of the educational environment and create conditions for the development of creative thinking of students. Interactive elements of educational programmes enable the transition from passive to active learning, as students are able to independently model phenomena and processes, to perceive information not linearly, with return, if necessary, to a certain fragment, with repetition of a virtual experiment with the same or other initial parameters.

The use of ICT increased the initial motivation of the lesson through the display of bright posters, an epigraph to the lesson, quotations, photos with problematic issues, video clips showing the connection between what is being studied and life. Since the lecture lessons are held at the beginning of the topic of the section and the new material is not logically linked to the previous one, the traditional homework check is not appropriate. For such lessons 2-3 students are given anticipatory assignments. They prepare short reports and presentation slides to illustrate them, which are then incorporated into the lesson. The motivational and cognitive effect of this form of homework is much higher.

The presentations for the lessons created by the software allow for the involvement of pupils in the explanation of new material. Ask for a definition based on the text shown. Individual questions are fully assigned to one or more students.

Practice has shown that the greatest effect in maintaining cognitive interest is achieved by a final reinforcement in the form of a test. Assessment of the results is based on the number of correct answers. Tasks are shown on the screen either all at once or one after another after 30-40 seconds. After they are done, the correct answers are shown on the screen. Checking is conducted in the form of self-checking, dishonesty is very rare.

Under the conditions of modern education content and structure renewal the problem of students' creative abilities development acquires a new meaning and requires further understanding. Our time is a time of change. Computers are penetrating into all spheres of life today and becoming a tool for solving many problems. Our country needs people who are capable of making quick, non-standard decisions and who can think creatively.

Both in and out of class, we need to create an atmosphere of creative inquiry that helps students bring out their talents to the fullest possible extent. For this purpose, it is necessary to use elements of developmental learning at lessons: problem situations, creative tasks, apply projective method, involve students in independent research activities. The combination of several technologies used by the teacher at the lesson allows making each lesson fascinating and unique. The use of these elements in teaching significantly increases the level of knowledge, creative and cognitive activity of students.

Thus, by building awareness and solid knowledge, I am making great progress in solving the problem:

Thus, summing up, we can say that modern information and communication technologies are a huge number of opportunities leading to motivation as the main driving mechanism of education and self-education of a person, the choice of individual development trajectory, which is a reflection of the pedagogical credo: "Desire is a thousand opportunities, unwillingness is a thousand reasons...".
